Arctic Sea Ice Already Surpasses Record Minimum

It's going to get worse since the melt season isn't over; that stops sometime in September. It's a feedback mechanism. This year's ice melts down further. The melt season ends later and starts earlier. That makes the amount of ice created less and less each year. It gets faster and faster for the melt rate. They have been saying 2040 for the permanent ice pack being gone. Whatcha wanna bet it's a lot sooner.

It also puts into perspective the race for the north by Russia, Denmark, Canada, and the USA.
