The Robopocalypse on the Battlefield

Robotics on the Battlefield – Part I: Range, Persistence and Daring, written by 20YY Warfare Initiative Director Paul Scharre, examines key enablers and obstacles for achieving these advantages and will conclude with recommendations for actions. Mr. Scharre argues “the winner of the robotics revolution will not be who develops this technology first or even who has the best technology, but who figures out how best to use it."

The report explores the operational advantages of uninhabited and autonomous systems and the new concepts of operations they enable. This report addresses the advantages of range, persistence and daring, focusing on the advantages of individual systems.
