Ukraine: Pattern Failures

Time has not been horribly kind to Ukraine.

Russia played the gas card and has cut off the natural gas flows through Ukraine.

Fighting continues in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

Likewise in Lugansk, but it appears part of the city is under control of the government. Minimally, the airport and potentially some of the industrial areas as well.

There are reports of renewed fighting in Mariupol.  Yo-yo time again?

Protestors in Ukraine are egging and attacking the Russian embassy and consulates.

There are reports of Russian troops moving back to the border in a U turn from being taken away.

There are reports of basic services failing.

The LGM have Grad MLRS.

Humanitarian corridors have been set up to allow civilians to stream into the West.

Poroshenko has ordered the border closed and supposedly 1/3 the Lugansk/Russian border is now controlled. No word on the Donetsk border which is a really bad sign.

Poroshenko has offered a cease fire with the LGM.
