Ukraine War Update: Лягушка нервно глаза блендера

make sure you turn off the sound on the video.  really.  oy.  IDK what drives Ukrainians and Russians to dub over the music like that, but...

The Dnipro-1 Volunteer Battalion (National Guard, I believe these days) sent up a cheap drone to recon the area on the other side of the contact line.  Count the tanks.  There are at least 60 (two battalions) and another seven battalions (~180) of other armored fighting vehicles.  You are looking at two brigades parked neatly in the LNR.  The LNR has less armor and whatnot than the DNR.

This just furthers the notion the Russians have been working on getting the forces in the DNR and LNR up past what several of the European military have combined.  Reports earlier were that the DNR and LNR had 700 tanks.  This one UAV flight over a small area showed 1/12th of that.

There are clashes up and down the line.  Maryinka has had probes two or three times this month.  Others have had infantry advance, but in smaller groups.  Its feeling like a probing rather than an attack.  We'll wait and see.  The Ukrainians responded well to the first attack on Maryinka and successfully blunted other, smaller probes.

However, let me caution to state with all the armor the Russians and Donnie Reb have now, it might be really tough for the Ukrainians to hold off the Russians when the time comes.  You're looking at at least 12 brigades on the Dark Side there.

That said, there seems to be rumblings something may be coming.  This comes from comments by DNR officials; staged interviews of a handful (single hand numbers, really) of Donbass residents asking for the DNR to push the Ukrainians out of artillery range; the incredible build up of sufficient, but obsolete from the Russian POV equipment; observations being made by the OSCE; and, finally, actions by the Donnie Rebs, especially the DNR, with the ground attacks.

Get ready for it.

If they spearhead a full scale attack, where on the line would they likely make the thrust of a blitzkrieg?
