My father and stepmother gave me a gift when we left Abiquiu. It was a surprising one. Its a notebook of a journal. I had first taken it to be an account of someone in WW2 based on the notebook itself. When I got home, I googled and found it was a translation of General de Caulaincourt's memoirs of the campaign with Napoleon in Russia.
If there is interest, I'll scan a page a week or some such.
I'll be damned. I just read this (in English translation) last year.
