The Great Red Fleet: People's Liberation Army Navy in the Staits of Magellan

They are doing a show the flag exercise in South America.

Why did I call it the 'Great Red Fleet?'  Though not as large, this deployment by the PLAN has its parallels with our own 'Great White Fleet' and it has its own portents.  After all, the PLAN is demonstrating its long distance, blue water capabilities.
