Little in the way of clashes is happening in Ukraine. The ones which are seem rather sporadic.
The accounts as to what is happening is rather murky.
I have seen some sources claim the Russian Troops have pulled out of Ukraine, one of the conditions to prevent the EU sanctions from smacking Russia's economy. Other sources state they have not.
Some state Poroshenko is willing to federalize the nation. Others not.
I have to wonder if we will see Poroshenko hold the truce in place through the winter and then come spring, after rearming, an offensive will begin. I don't know.
Previous reports of Ukraine having abandoned Debaltseve were incorrect, fyi.
The preliminary reports on MH17 state the aircraft was hit by a SAM in the front. This increases the odds of the SAM coming from the Russian side. Also, locals report the BUK crew were from Russia proper.
