No risk map.
The updates here are getting sparse. Little rumblings, but not escalation. On the contrary, things feel fizzled compared to before.
Interestingly, there have been a number of former and current employees of the foreign ministry which have signed a petition in support of Euromaidan. There are over 100 and this is a brave step for those in that position. Its there job on the line now and then some. If they feel strongly enough to do this, it also strongly implies the government is in a bad position and cannot simply crush the protestors if it wanted to.
Euromaidan really needs to get into the hearts and minds of those in the east and crimea. They really, really need to break down the image they are just Westerners arguing at the expense of the East. OTherwise this will simply be another Orange Revolution and get rolled back again.
