Stealth Saga #16

TF-X:

Turkey has selected British Aerospace as the partner to help design its attempt at an entry into the 5th generation fighter arena.  Airbus is their second choice.  That would hint Turkey is attempting to avoid the restrictions the US places on its technologies.

KF-X:

South Korea's KF-X 5th generation fighter project has stalled (paywall).

ADT-X:

The Japanese stealth fighter will make its first flight in the first quarter of 2016.  IT has been suffering from avionics software problems.  Sounds familiar.

Long Range Strike Bomber:

Boeing's protest has been called fundamentally flawed, but something interesting was revealed: what is this mysterious 'Black Diamond' manufacturing process mentioned?

F-35 Lightning II:

The F-35 is now vulnerable budgetarily since they are expecting to buy over 100 F-35s per year for 20 years.  In fact, the US may cut back the order it places in FY 2017.

Italy has taken delivery of its first F-35.

Pakistan claims to have started negotiating to buy F-35s.
