Ukraine: Patterns of Clashing and Tensions

The Ukrainian army is pushing hard.

Kruglik in the Lugansk Oblast has been taken by the Ukrainians and fighting has begun in Krasnyy Luch.

In the Donetsk Oblast, troops are reportedly moving into Mospyne, Zuhresm Mykolaivka and Yenakijeve. Gorlovka is reported to have a guerrilla war going on where the rebels are employing hit and run tactics.

More Ukrainian troops have been returned from Russia. However, 5 are being held as 'war criminals.'

At the Russian border, a 'humanitarian mission' tried to cross. The Russian army claimed they were working with the Red Cross. The Ukrainians refused their entry. The Red Cross has denied they were involved.

Ukraine is sanctioning Russia in multiple areas.

Rumor has it Yatsenyuk's computer was hacked.

Sean's Russia Blog has a good post on what Putin might be thinking about the food ban.  Russia has started shopping for food sources in South America.

Russia is now blocking Ukrainian airlines from flying in its airspace.

As I have stated before, the DNR is about to go splat.  The LNR, on the other hand, is not.
