Stealth Saga #21

KF-X:

Indonesia and South Korea have signed a $1.3 billion deal for Indonesia's participation in the KF-X program covering 1/5th the cost.


J-20:

China is even saying it needs better engines for its J-20 stealth fighter.

PAK-FA:

Reports are that India is still balking at the price for the PAK-FA.  The price for India's participation and tech transfer went from $6 billion to $3.7 billion.  Reportedly, India is still unimpressed.

Russia claims the PAK-FA will be equipped with a ROFAR: Radio-Optic Phased Array Radar.  It sounds like a LIDAR.

MiG-31 Replacement:

 The Russians have started designing a MiG-31 replacement. 

Long Range Strike Bomber:

Some are questioning whether or not the LRS-B will be able to penetrate the enemy air defenses.

F-35 Lightning:

The USMC is testing using remote airfields for F-35B.
